BAHA - Bone Anchored Hearing Aids

pic-baha-system

If you have a hearing change that is “conductive” it means that your actual sense of hearing is better but you don’t hear as well because the mechanics of the outer and middle ear are not working well, and if surgery is not an option or surgical options have been exhausted, then you may benefit from a Bone Anchored Hearing Aid. If you’re a candidate, an ENT will consult and if you’re deemed fit for surgery and wish to proceed, a magnetic implant under the skin, or an abuttment on the skin will be inserted that will connect to a hearing aid that will send sound - including bluetooth calls and streaming - to your “cochlea” or inner ear sense organ of hearing and bypass all the outer and middle ear mechanics.

Ask yourself these questions and if you answer "yes" to any of them, then you may be a good candidate for the Baha System.
